Sugar Free Sriracha BBQ Sauce
I absolutely ADORE BBQ sauce (my fav is Sprouts organic. YUM!)
Unfortunately, at 23 cal a Tbsp it's hard to justify the half jar it takes to satisfy my cravings (oink, oink!)
There are a few sugar-free keto brands on the market but unfortunately, they are so vinegary they may as well be salad dressing.
That's why I decided to experiment and come up with a dressing of my own.
I discovered the basis of this recipe on Wholesomeyum and adapted it to remove the sugar alcohols and add in a bit of sriracha (my other obsession!)
Here's the result!
Ingredients:
12oz Tomato Paste
1.5 Cups Water
2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbsp Liquid Smoke
2 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Onion Powder
Pinch Salt
1/4 tsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Sriracha
1/3 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1/4 Cup Inulin
4 Drops Stevia
Instructions:
Combine all Ingredients in Sauce Pan
Heat (uncovered) on Medium-High Until Simmering
Lower Heat to Medium-Low and Cook for 20 min, Stirring Occasionally
Remove from Heat, Allow to Cool
ENJOY!
Pro Tip: We all have different taste preferences. In order to achieve YOUR ideal sauce, taste frequently while stirring and compare to your favorite commercial BBQ Sauce for optimal results.
